Indonesia- PLN West Java Distribution recorded an increase in electricity sales of 12,389,381 MWH in the first quarter of 2019. This increased by 456,761 MWH or grew by 3.83% compared to the same period in 2018 of 11,932,620 MWH.
General Manager of West Java UID PLN, Iwan Purwana, said the increase was inseparable from PLN’s efforts to facilitate the public in obtaining electricity and improving operating performance.
This increase is also supported by social and industrial tariffs. “The increase in sales of 3.83% was supported by the social tariff segment of 13.4% which was the biggest sale,” he said.
With this increase, it has a positive impact on PLN West Java’s revenues. Where there was an increase of 4.48% compared to 2018.
This was achieved thanks to the achievement of a number of marketing programs launched such as the Premium Service Program, Discount Add Power and Socialization of the Gas Stove Conversion to the Induction Cooker carried out throughout the West Java Distribution PLN Service Unit.
Intensive marketing is also carried out to industrial and business segment customers, additional power targets such as those conducted in Bekasi and Cikarang that have managed to attract 32 customers to increase power, with delta adding power of 256 million VA in March 2019.
